Caja inspires artist Cindy Ritzman

As part of Conservation Lands Foundation's Arts and Advocacy program, artist Cindy Ritzman created two paintings, A Landscape of Great Journey and Big Enough to Hold Anything in You as part of the Preserving New Mexico’s Landscapes for Tomorrow project.

Conservation Lands Foundation's Arts and Advocacy program is an opportunity to support women artists who want to lend their voices and become advocates for public lands protection campaigns and defense work.

Caja del Rio_Big_Enough_To_Hold_Anything_In_You — Cindy Ritzman created "Big Enough to Hold Anything in You" — a painting of the Diablo Canyon area — from photographs taken while hiking there in October of 2025.

Painting of Diablo Canyon — “A Landscape of Great Journey” was inspired by a quote from environmental activist and Presbyterian minister Reverend Andrew Black.
